Who we are
We are Argun Stationers Limited, trading as Argun Printers & Stationers. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 04335383. Our registered office is 20 Amhurst Road, London E8 1JN. Our VAT number is GB 788 2772 68.
Our shop is at 20 Amhurst Road, Hackney, London E8 1JN. You can reach us on 020 8985 7879, by email at hello@argun.co.uk, or in the shop, Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm.
Prices and VAT
- The prices on our website are what you pay. They include VAT where VAT applies.
- Some printed items, such as leaflets and booklets, are zero-rated for VAT, so they carry no VAT. Everything else is charged at the standard rate of 20%. Your basket and confirmation email show how much VAT is included in the total.
- There are no extra charges added at checkout. Collection from the shop is free.
- If we make an obvious mistake in a price, we’ll tell you before we start and you can cancel for a full refund.
Quotes
Anything not on our price list, including other quantities, sizes or papers, is priced as a quote. A quote is for the job described in it.
- A quote is valid for 30 days from the day we send it.
- We send your quote by email with a link to pay online. Your order is accepted when you pay the quote, and we’ll email you a confirmation with an order number.
- If the job changes, for example a different quantity or finish, we’ll send a new price before going ahead.
- Design work is quoted separately from printing and charged at 20% VAT.
Ordering and paying
- You pay when you order. Online payments are taken securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Your order is accepted when your payment goes through. We’ll then email you a confirmation with your order number (for example AR-10001).
- We may decline an order, for example if the content is unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights, or we can’t produce it to an acceptable standard. If so, we’ll refund you in full.
Your artwork
What we check
When you upload a file, the website checks things like page size, bleed, page count, fonts and, for image files, resolution. A person also looks at every file before it’s printed. If we spot a problem, we’ll contact you before printing.
What you’re responsible for
- The content of your artwork: spelling, wording, phone numbers, dates and prices. We don’t proofread your text.
- Having the right to use everything in it, including logos, photos and fonts.
- Making sure it isn’t unlawful, defamatory or offensive. We may refuse to print anything that is.
“Print as supplied”
If the checks find something that could affect the result, such as missing bleed or a low-resolution image, we show you what it is. If you tick “print as supplied”, you’re asking us to print the file as it is, and we won’t treat that issue as a fault in our work.
Colour
Colours on screen and on a home printer look different from colours printed on paper or card, and can vary slightly between print runs. Small differences like these aren’t a fault.
Proofs
We don’t send proofs as standard: we check your file and print it as supplied. If you’d like a proof, ask when you order and we’ll quote for it.
Changing or cancelling an order
Everything we print is made to your specification. Goods made to a customer’s specification, or clearly personalised, don’t carry the usual 14-day right to cancel an online order. This is set out in regulation 28 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and it applies to all print orders, including those paid for online.
If you change your mind or spot a mistake in your own artwork, contact us as soon as you can on 020 8985 7879 or hello@argun.co.uk. You can cancel for a full refund until we start printing. Once printing has started, the order can’t be cancelled.
This doesn’t affect your rights if something we supply is faulty or not as described.
Collecting your order
- Orders are collected from our shop at 20 Amhurst Road, E8 1JN. We don’t deliver at the moment.
- We’ll email you when your order is ready. Please bring your order number.
- Orders on our price list are ready the same day, within 2 hours, when the artwork is approved by 4pm, Monday to Saturday; artwork approved later is ready the next day we’re open. Business cards and flyers ordered on Standard are ready 3 to 5 working days after the artwork is approved. Artwork sent after the order is placed counts from when we receive and approve it. If you need it by a particular day, tell us or call before ordering. If we haven’t agreed a date with you, we’ll have your order ready within 30 days at the latest.
- We keep your order for 30 days after we email you that it’s ready. Orders still uncollected after 30 days may be recycled, and aren’t refunded.
More detail is on our collection and returns page.
If something is wrong
If your order is faulty, not as described, or doesn’t match what you ordered (for example the wrong quantity, paper or size, or a printing defect), you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- Tell us as soon as you can, ideally before using the items, and bring or send us examples or photos.
- Where we’re at fault, we’ll reprint the order or the affected part at no cost. If a reprint isn’t possible or doesn’t fix the problem, we’ll give you a refund, in full or in part as appropriate.
- Please tell us within 48 hours of collecting your order. This doesn’t limit your legal rights.
- Problems that come from the artwork you supplied, including spelling mistakes and issues you accepted with “print as supplied”, aren’t a fault in our work.
If you bought as a business rather than as a consumer, we’ll still put right anything we got wrong in the same way.
Our responsibility to you
- If we break these terms, we’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that, up to the price you paid for the order, unless the law doesn’t allow us to limit it.
- We don’t limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
- We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control. If one affects your order, we’ll tell you and you can cancel for a refund of anything not yet supplied.
- For business customers, we aren’t liable for loss of profit, business or opportunity, or for indirect losses.
Law and complaints
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
If you’re unhappy with anything, please talk to us first, in the shop, on 020 8985 7879 or at hello@argun.co.uk. We’ll do our best to put it right. We reply to complaints within 5 working days.
How we handle your personal details is explained in our privacy notice.
