Your own cards, your own design
A family photo, a drawing by the children, a school or charity design: we print it on 350gsm uncoated card with a soft matt feel, folded like a shop-bought card or as a flat card. Christmas cards use the same card, sizes and prices as our invitations, so you order them there.

For families
Send a photo of the family, the dog or the house, with a message inside. Uncoated card gives photos a gentle, natural look rather than a glossy one, and colours print a little softer than they look on screen. A folded card has room for a printed greeting inside and space to write.
For schools and charities
Children’s drawings make lovely cards. Bring the originals in and we can scan them, then lay several drawings out as a set of cards or one design. Our design service starts from £40.00 and is quoted per job. For a fundraising run in a quantity that isn’t listed, ask for a quote and we’ll price the whole job.
Getting the artwork right
- For a folded card, supply the flat sheet: an A5 sheet for a card that folds to A6, an A4 sheet for one that folds to A5.
- Add 3 mm of extra background on every edge, and keep words 3 mm in from the edge and 5 mm either side of the fold.
- When you upload, the page shows your card with the cut line and safe area marked, checks the file and points out likely typos. One of us looks at every file before printing too. Our artwork guide has the details.
Envelopes
Envelopes aren’t included. We keep envelopes in different qualities for you to choose from, charged separately; say when you order and we’ll confirm the price when we check your order.
When to order
Order early in December, especially if the cards need posting. Cards are ready within 2 hours when your artwork is approved by 4pm, Monday to Saturday, and we confirm your ready date when we check it. You collect them from the shop; we email you when they’re ready.
